We Are. . .
Tom And Linda Stephens
We met and married while attending Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Texas. During our college years we worked with Teen Challenge in Dallas. After graduation, we spent eight years in pastoral ministry in Texas and New Mexico before leaving the ministry. The years that followed were difficult ones but God was faithful even when we weren't.
While it wasn't always easy, our walk with the Lord has continued to grow sweeter and sweeter; and because of that, our relationship with each other has also grown, having been blessed by the One Who loved us most, Jesus Christ.
Over the years, we have attended several different churches, always with a full-Gospel foundation. Now we are part of a strong Assemblies of God church in the windy desert of West Texas. Our pastor hungers after God and encourages us to walk ever closer to Him. Our church is blessed with powerful revival worship, teaching of the Word, and the manifestation of Godís presence. We learn more each day what it means to fully be his bondservants and to that end we strive.
We Believe. . .
In The Entire and Perfect Word
The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God .
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth (in the flesh), in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His victorious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
In the blessed hope the pre-tribulation rapture of the church.
The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith, by grace by the precious blood of Jesus, the only begotten Son of God.
In water baptism by immersion.
The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, is given to those who ask.
In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
The resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
